Jin is a broadly trained ecologist, with expertise in ecosystem ecology, biodiversity and conservation, global climate change, and sustainability sciences. He is especially keen to advance our understanding of these topics by using multi-disciplinary approaches (e.g. field, remote sensing, and ecosystem modeling) undertaken across a wide range of scales from individual organisms to ecosystems, regions, and ultimately to globe.
