I received my PhD from the University of Kansas, USA, in 2014, after which I was an Institute for Biospheric Studies Fellow and an EAR National Science Foundation Fellow at Yale University, USA. I am now an assistant professor in palaeobiology at the University of Oxford, UK. My research addresses fundamental questions on the origin, maintenance, and conservation of biological diversity. I integrate biological data with information from the fossil record to elucidate the controls on community and species’ responses to environmental change across various spatial and temporal scales.
